Godfatha Templeman Back In Court For Kidnapping

Popular Zimdancehall disc jockey and promoter Godfatha Templeman, real name Simbarashe Maphosa, is expected to appear in court today on kidnapping charges.

Templeman has been in remand prison since April 13 after he was denied bail by Harare magistrate Tilda Mazhanje because he faces a third schedule charge.  He was advised to approach the High Court for bail. Templeman held a 16 year old girl in his custody for three days without her parent’s knowledge and consent. The State allege that between March 29 and 31, Templeman unlawfully detained the girl and deprived her freedom. He had traveled with the girl to Beitbridge.
