Expelled former MDC-T Vice President has told MDC-T president Nelson Chamisa that she will the 2018 elections because voters want truth and democracy and not numbers. She argued that even if Chamisa supporters are in millions it does not matter because they are doing the wrong thing. Speaking in a radio interview, Khupe said,
My chances (of winning) are very high because people vote for the truth. People vote for constitutionalism, they vote for democracy, they vote for non-violence, they vote for non-discrimination, they vote for equality and because I stand within these values and principles I am pretty sure that people are going to elect me as the next president of the republic.
You can be a million but doing the wrong thing. I can be one but as long as I am doing the right thing, people will respect that person who is doing the right thing … but in terms of numbers that is not an issue on our part.
