Kudzai Nduku the woman who was shot by two Chinese nationals after being mistaken for an armed robber has told the court that she will never walk again due to the injuries that she suffered. Nduku who is now wheel-chair bound was shot together with her boyfriend and son of Zanu-PF legislator, Keith Guzah, Kevin Guzah. The two were shot by Chinese nationals Luo TinGpen, Li Yize and their alleged accomplice, Gamuchirai Nigel Zuze.
Nduku told the court,
I’m still traumatised, to think that a person shoots you for no reason, and you look at each other in the eye. I asked him why he shot me, and I asked him to help me. I was bleeding profusely via the entry and exit wound as well as through my privates but still, he looked away and fled from the scene.
It was a traumatic experience for me and I’m still traumatised. A neurosurgeon said one of the major veins was damaged and that I may never walk again. His explanation to my understanding meant that I have a permanent injury and chances that I walk again are limited.
The tri of the accused denied the charges, despite the fact that there is Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Footage. Tingpen and Yize also have a pending case of unlawful discharge of firearms at Bindura magistrates court.
