Man Killed By Stray Bullet As Cops, Armed Robbers Exchange Gunfire

Muchesa Chatsama is suspected to have been killed by a stray bullet after police exchanged gunfire with armed robbers in Malborough on Friday. His body was discovered hours later in his office. Chatsama’s brother, Dzago Chatsama, was upset about the incident and blamed the police for not being more tactful in their approach.

Writing on his Facebook page Dzago said,

Feel so helpless watching your own brother covered in blood with a bullet in his chest after a police vs robbers shootout. Munhu akazvigarira muoffice make nhai wongobatanidzirwa.

After exchanging gunfire with armed robbers in broad daylight in a neighbourhood like Marlborough.¬†…Saka wasina mhosva ndovamunouraya kunge mombe and the robbers you only wound, God, help us. Rest well mukoma Muchesa Chatsama. I will forever love you, boss.

Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said,

We are investigating the case. Police followed some suspected armed robbers from town to Marlborough where there was an exchange of gunfire between the police and the suspected robbers. Four of the five suspects were nabbed while escaping. Later on, there was a report that a man was found dead in his office and police are investigating the case.

    A generic apology as investigations happen will not hurt anyone, but can at least comfort his immediate family, Chief Superintendent i want to believe you are as human as i am and the relatives of the unfortunate victim. kungoti sorry……….
