Chamisa Denies Bussing People To Rallies

In an interview with Daily News acting MDC spokesperson Thabitha Khumalo dismissed claims by State media that several road accidents involving the party’s supporters from various parts of the country confirmed that the opposition was transporting supporters to rallies to create an impression that Nelson Chamisa enjoys “overwhelming” support.

Khumalo said the party cannot bar supporters from other areas to attend a rally. Said Khumalo:

The country is burning, civil servants are getting peanuts but you see some people are concentrating on petty issues. We do not bus people. We cannot deny our members to come to attend our rallies.

Chamisa’s spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka dismissed the allegations as nonsense. Obert Gutu, spokesperson of the rival Thokozani Khupe-led MDC faction claimed Chamisa had invested $50 000 to bus supporters to the MDC rally in Bulawayo last weekend, attended by a bumper crowd.

  1. Where do citizens get money to hire lorries, buses and combies to travel across other provinces, when they are getting peanuts, so at your rallies there is miracle money. So regardless of the popularity of the party a certain percentage of the crowd is nothing to the actual voters results of that particular province or constituance mmmm something doesn’t add up deception doesn’t last longer,
