Youth Affairs Now Under Kazembe Kazembe

Officiating at the Fourth Edition of the Makonde Senator’s Sporting Tournament in Chinhoyi at the weekend, the  Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation director of sport development and promotion, Mrs Eugania Chidhakwa announced Government had merged the youth affairs portfolio to her ministry.

The department was previously under the Ministry of Women and Youth Affairs, which is headed by Minister Sithembiso Nyoni. Said Chidhakwa:

I am happy to announce that with effect from last week, our ministry is now being called Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation. This was arrived at after our superiors saw it fit to merge our previous ministry with the Department of Youths. The sporting and recreational activities will be made easy with the inclusion of youths in the ministry as they are active enough.
