90 Accidents, 11 Deaths On Thursday: ZRP
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has revealed that 90 accidents were recorded on Thursday as people marked the start of the Easter Holiday. 11 fatalities were recorded while 77 people were injured in the accidents. 267 drivers were arrested for a variety of offences.
ZRP National Police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba urged motorists to drive carefully and to exercise caution. She reiterated Minister of Transport Jorum Gumbo’s statement, that police will be deployed on the country’s roads to safeguard lives.
