MDC-T national chairperson Morgan Komichi has insisted that the party which is led by Nelson Chamisa will continue using the MDC-T name. This follows pronouncements by expelled former Vice President Thokozani Khupe and her associates that they will also use the MDC-T name in the upcoming harmonised elections. Said Komichi,
We are not going to be forced to change our name from MDC-T because it carries the legacy of our late president Tsvangirai.
We have heard that Honourable Khupe is insisting on using the same name, but we will find a way around this situation.
We were in the same situation in 2005 when Welshman Ncube (MDC leader) broke away and we managed to navigate through this. We have a plan, but it is yet to be ratified by the national council then we can make it public.

This is what shows that fragmented leadership is not to be trusted on one hand Khupe was elected and Chamisa was supposedly appointed by The late Tsvangirai in secrecy which Ncube seems to confirm but my question is Magweta anoziva these deathbed statements in fact in law of Equity and trusts it is covered as a section now Why would Morgan disregard someone who was a founder elected member Khupe and appoint Chamisa worse still in private at least he could have summoned both Chamisa and Khupe to tell them by popular demand Chamisa is the trump card I think Khupe has a genuine and legitimate grievance which Chamisa should have delicately handled. An observation it’s ok to talk about legacy when it comes to Tsvangirai but when Emmerson and co use the same word Chamisa does not like it . Chamisa has a sharp disrespectful tongue akapinda panyanga uchaitinetsa this person Zimbabwe be careful and vote wisely
