Pro-democracy activist and founder of #This Flag Movement, Pastor Evan Mawarire has announced that he will be running for council in the upcoming 2018 elections. Mawarire will be running for Harare Ward 17, Mount Pleasant. He has not joined any political party but will be running as part of a coalition of independent candidates known as the People’s Own Voice (Povo).
