Speaking to 263Chat MDC-T Secretary General, Douglas Mwonzora announced that the party has rewarded pardoned party activist, Yvonne Musarurwa with a parliamentary seat under the proportional representation.
Musarurwa was among the 87 female prisoners released under President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s amnesty. Said Mwonzora:
Yvonne should throw her CV in the application for Member of Parliament and she is going to be one of the candidates’ proportional representation, she deserves that.
When asked for a comment, Musarurwa could not confirm nor deny her ambitions to run or take up political office.
