ZACC Chief Investigator Accused Of Taking Bribes And Entertaining Suspects

Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) chief of investigations Goodson Nguni has been accused of taking bribes and entertaining corruption suspects by his colleagues.

In a letter to ZACC boss Job Whabira, Nguni denies the allegations which he says arise from the fact that he arrested University of Zimbabwe (UZ) Vice Chancellor Levi Nyagura in connection to Grace Mugabe’s PhD. He said he will sue the commissioners who are accusing him of being corrupt. Said Nguni:

I informed you that commissioners have been asking people to write half-baked allegations against me because I have challenged and dared to arrest Vice Chancellor Nyagura and I would like yourself to investigate whether I am related to Supa Mandiwanzira and Brian Mutandiro (former NetOne CEO) on the NetOne story and that’s why I cleared them.

I shall challenge all the Commissioners who co-authored this petition and I shall challenge all the Commissioners in the right forum. I am going to sue all the commissioners individually for $250 000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand dollars).
