Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) boss, Commissioner-General Godwin Matanga has week told the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy that he is unaware of Gye Nyame, the ZRP owned diamond mine in Chiadzwa. Matanga said that his predecessor Augustine Chihuri could shed more light on the mine.
In as far as I am concerned, I only read about Gye Nyame in the newspapers, and I do not have information about it…maybe Chihuri would know about it.

We received oral evidence from different mines who said the ZRP had concessions in Chiadzwa. It was disturbing that we received information about Gye Nyame being under the personal name of the former Police Commissioner-General,
Chihuri was not present however as the portfolio committee had been unable to trace him in order to serve him with the summons.
