Khupe has been embroiled in a bitter race with Nelson Chamisa to succeed the late Morgan Tsvangirai as the leader of the opposition party. Khupe who is also against the MDC Alliance has said that her faction will pursue a coalition of its own. Said Khupe:

In this respect, therefore, we shall also pursue the formation of a holistic, viable and broad – based grand coalition of all progressive and democratic political forces that will face Zanu PF in the forthcoming harmonised elections. We shall always remain open to any forms of collaboration that are aimed at establishing a truly democratic and stable nation state in Zimbabwe.

Today, we boldly declare that we are the MDC and always shall remain the MDC that believes in not only respecting but also strictly upholding the party constitution as well as the party’s founding values, principles, character and culture. Going forward, we hereby immediately dissociate ourselves from any members of the MDC who are resorting to the use of wanton violence, intimidation and thuggery as tools for political mobilisation. Additionally, we also unreservedly and unashamedly declare that we are not going to be part of any political formation that doesn’t abide by the dictates of the MDC constitution.

  1. So over watching this rubbish play out if culture is truly the reason for the war and ousting of the white population of Zimbabwe why are people with no cultural authority even being allowed to speak.

Cultural Africa is not about diamonds or gold or Mercedes or big houses in Borrowdale it is about respect and the well being of the clan so where are those whose blood gives them the authority to speak?
    Why are they not speaking?

  2. Fragmented leadership has always been a headache the patriotic front nearly plunged us into a civil war at Independence Chamisa you need to wake up and Unite with Khupe even this Alliance whitewash will split after winning any election Zimbabwe needs stability. People vote wisely. This split. May even give Mugabe and G40 more amunation.
