Mariyawanda Nzuwah Forced To Resign Because He Favoured Mugabe Claims Moyo

Exiled former cabinet minister and G40 Kingpin Professor Jonathan Moyo has claimed that President Emmerson Mnangagwa forced the immediate resignation of Mariywanda Nzuwah, the former chairperson of the Civil Service Commission (CSC). Nzuwah was reportedly made to retire because he had received the pensionable age of 65, but Moyo claims that Nzuwah was actually forced to resign because he favoured former President Robert Mugabe and as “too nice” to him.

This is despite the fact that Mnangagwa’s administration has publicly said that it wants to reduce the number of civil servants by retiring all employees who are of pensionable age.  Writing on Twiter, Moyo said,

Mnangagwa has forced the immediate resignation of Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Dr Mariyawanda Nzuwah, who was also Chairman of the Defence Services Commission on petty charges he favoured President Mugabe by paying his pension in cash and that he was too nice to him!

Moyo, who was forced to flee the country and go into exile after the fall of former president Robert Mugabe in November last year has been constantly attacking President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the Zimbabwe Defence Forces accusing them of staging a coup against Mugabe’s administration.
