Video: Chinese Duo Face Attempted Murder Charges After Shooting Zanu-PF MP’s Son Following Mistaken Identity

The trial of Chinese nationals Luo Tin Gpen, Li Yize and their alleged accomplice, Gamuchirai Nigel Zuze is set to start on the 9th of April. The trio is facing attempted murder charges after they shot Zanu-PF MP Keith Guzah’s son Kevin Guzah and his girlfriend Kudzanai Nduku in a case of mistaken identity, thinking that the two were responsible for an earlier robbery. The three were advised of their trial date by Harare magistrate, Tilda Mazhande.

Nduku and Guzah where driving in Belgravia when they heard a gunshot and attempted to flee from the danger. However, the three chased after them causing Guzah to crash into a pump at a service station. One of the three accused then shot Nduku before hitting her on the head with a gun. Guzah was shot in the pelvis and right leg after he attempted to flee from the scene.

The three then took Guzah to the police station without rendering any assistance to Nduku who they abandoned.
Guzah was discharged from Parirenyatwa Hospital after undergoing surgery to remove bullet fragments. However, his girlfriend Nduku was reported to be critical and according to Kevin’s brother, Keith Guzah Jr, may never walk again as the bullet damaged some nerves. We are yet to get updates of her condition.
