“My Husband’s Happy With The Way I Dress”: Marry Chiwenga Defends Revealing Outfits

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s wife Marry Chiwenga has defended the revealing outfits that she wears in public.

In an interview with Daily News, Marry said her husband does not mind her dressing in revealing outfits. Said Marry:

I know people say I like showing my shoulders, that’s me and I will not change. So I always say whether they like it or not, they can’t change who I am and this is me. I dress exactly how I want to dress, I don’t change because people say I must change, no! I change because I feel the change is necessary. Michelle Obama dresses like me and people applaud her and appreciate her for that because she is not trying to be someone else. Melania Trump dresses like I dress and everybody loves it, no-one complains. It’s very myopic for people to say because you are wearing a dress that is sleeveless of whatever design, then they say you are crazy. I don’t pick it up from that context. When I leave home like this, my husband loves it. If I wear a short dress, my husband loves it. If I wear jeans depending on where I’m going, my husband loves it. I will never leave home with a dress that my husband doesn’t approve of. The outfit that I wore at congress; when I walked out of the bedroom, my husband was like ‘oh my, vamaGumbo, makachena, today I am going to walk holding your hand.’ He said it jokingly. And people started saying oh, her boobs were out, we could see her cleavage, whatever. If you got it, flaunt it, why hide it?

  1. KKK This girl is very funny, look at the people she compares herself with, Michelle Obama and Melania Trump, and she does not have a clear understanding of the African context she is called to serve and set very good examples and be a role model for our African girls. Ngaachienda pana 4th ka akashama kudaro aone kuti pane chinobuda.

    1. I love this woman–dont worry about primitive hwindi/mentality—backward and prehistoric—if you hubby likes it then thats it—vana hwindi/umalayitsha they can grow-up and find their own women!!

    2. ah what “African context” before colonialism we wore frontal nembe and went topless, is this the context you are referring to, must she wear a waist-down, front covering nembe piece and bare top for you to be satisfied? arrggghhh you people irk my nerves!

  2. kkkkk thats the problem of marrying young women . Marry is married to a very old man compared to her and these are some of the issues that arise. If Marry was married to a man of her age such discussion would not come about kkkkk. I suppose people expect Chiwenga’s wife to be older and dressed like an adult so its just unfortunate that Marry is stuck with this old geezer kkkk

  3. still lighting your pett coast old man lights out can’t light the fire how do you when man eyed you aka wet

  4. Ndi model ava kwaari it means nothing kufamba wakashama. asi zvachinja mava mai ve nyika zve mai chiwenga

  5. Obviously this girl sees herself as first lady material given her quoted role models
However married to a murderer, a thug who makes a show of his illl gotten wealth not to mention a military mentality that excuses murder of his his own country men also not to mention how many stolen farms he claims that pay for her flirtatious and fun clothing which in the context of all of the above speaks only of her delusion
In the context an honorable ambition being the wife of a respectable man leading an honorable government her clothing does not make the grade but as so much of her life fails every test of honour and respectability what is the issue?
