Grace Unsure About Staying At “Blue Roof” As Staff Is Detained, Interrogated By Military

Former president Robert Mugabe’s residence in Borrowdale, which is commonly referred to as the “Blue Roof” was raided by members of the military on Wednesday. The soldiers are reported to have detained the former president’s workers and interrogated them the whole day, wanting to know the people who had visited Mugabe. A source who spoke to the weekly publication, the Zimbabwean Independent said,

There is a dangerous situation developing at President Mugabe’s residence. Soldiers took workers from there in the morning for apparent interrogation at some barracks and the workers have not returned. The former first lady is very anxious and not sure whether to remain there. It’s a dangerous developing situation,”

Retribution continues, everyone who worked here is just being harassed.

The workers were picked up after Mugabe had left for South Africa. His wife Grace is reported to have been tense when she learned of the raid.  This comes after Mugabe has endorsed the new political party, the National Patriotic Front, which is led by Brigadier General (retired) Ambrose Mutinhiri.  Mugabe’s decision has not been welcomed by Zanu-PF, with war veterans and Zanu-PF youths threatening Mugabe with retribution.

  1. This is the seed that Mugabe planted over his longtime rule, when he was chewing the kids where watching his mouth, now it’s a matter of one reaping what he saw. Let them taste the bitterness of a remedy they brewed.

  2. Mugabe and Grace need to reflect a if they were in the driving seat they would do worse things let them taste how it feels to be on the receiving end
