Mapfungautsi Primary School in Gokwe will host a party which is meant to celebrate Zanu-PF war veterans’ secretary Victor Matemadanda’s elevation to the politburo as well as his appointment as war veterans’ secretary.
Musicians such as Jah Signal and Boom Beto are expected to perform at the event. Organisers of the event said they were expecting to host more than 40 000 people. Jah Signal and Boom Beto told The Herald that they are ready to perform at the event and promised to give their best. Several government officials are expected to attend the event. When contacted for comment, Matemadanda said he was humbled by what people had done for him and will only speak after the event.
