Former Zanu-PF youth league secretary general Kudzanayi Chipanga’s bail conditions were relaxed when he appeared before Harare magistrate Tilda Mazhanje. Chipanga will now report twice a week at Borrowdale Police Station instead of twice daily, as he awaits trial for insulting Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.
Chipanga’s lawyer, Professor Lovemore Madhuku argued that his client’s bail conditions were stringent and should be altered since he is now a full time farmer in Makoni District in Manicaland Province. Prosecutor Edmore Myazamba did not object to Chipanga’s application to have his bail conditions relaxed. Chipanga is expected to appear in court on April 6.
