ZIPRA War Veterans Accuse Ambrose Mutinhiri Of Being A Traitor After Quitting Zanu-PF
Zimbabwe People’s Revolutionary Army (Zipra) war veterans, Headman Moyo and Freddy Mutanda have accused former Minister of State for Mashonaland East, Retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri of being a sellout after he recently quit Zanu-PF saying that he cannot be part of a coup government.
Mutinhiri is now the interim leader of a new political party, National Patriotic Front (NPF) which has received the endorsement of former President Robert Mugabe. Moyo accused Mutinhiri of being a sellout since his time in the liberation struggle. Said Moyo:
He is a sellout. During the war of liberation, he took a sabbatical and left the ZIPRA command suckling after the death of Commander, Cde Alfred Nikita Mangena.
FeedbackAccording to Moyo, at independence in 1980, Retired Brigadier General Mutinhiri was just an ordinary man staying in Makene, Lusaka, Zambia. Mutanda added that Retired Brigadier General Mutinhiri and Mugabe are blood related from their mothers’ side.
