Chamisa Responds To Chief's Comments That They'll Not Allow "A Toddler" To Rule Zim

MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has responded to Enos Musakwa known as Chief Musarurwa’s comments that chiefs will not “allow someone who was a toddler, learning to walk during the liberation war to be the president of this country.”

In an interview with Daily News Editor Gift Phiri (GP), Chamisa (NC) said Chief Musarurwa must dethrone himself since he is young as well. Below is an excerpt of the interview:

GP: Chief Musarurwa told a meeting of Zanu PF Mashonaland East Women’s League in Marondera on Monday that they will never allow “pwere ine mukaka pamhuno” or an infant like you to rule the country.

NC: He is very young yet I saw him saying young people must not be in charge. He must begin by dethroning himself. Why should Zanu PF reduce Chief Musarurwa into a political mujibha or commissar? These are some of the things that cause our climatic challenges and unpredictable episodes in life.

Speaking during a meeting with Zanu PF Mashonaland East Women’s League in Marondera, Enos Musakwa known as Chief Musarurwa said they will not allow anyone who did not fight in the war of liberation to rule Zimbabwe.
