Khupe’s “Stronghold” Endorses Chamisa

MDC-T Bulawayo province which is perceived to be the party vice president Thokozani Khupe’s stronghold recently endorsed her opponent in the race to succeed the late Morgan Tsvangirai, Nelson Chamisa, as the party’s acting president.

During a provincial council meeting held on Tuesday, MDC-T  provincial spokesperson Felix Magalela Mafa-Sibanda said the province adopted the party’s National Council decision to appoint Chamisa as interim president for 12 months. Said Mafa-Sibanda:

The Bulawayo provincial executive and the provincial women and youth wings have adopted the NC one resolution they passed and resolved that Chamisa is the effective acting president of the MDC-T for 12 months.
