Job Sikhala has claimed that the late MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai had no confidence in the senior leadership of his party. According to Sikhala, as a result of the apparent lack of confidence, Tsvangirai ended up appointing Elias Mudzuri and Nelson Chamisa as deputy presidents in order to safeguard his legacy.
Sikhala made the claims while being interviewed by Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa on Capitalk FM. Tsvangirai’s death left the MDC-T facing a potential leadership crisis as the party’s three deputy presidents, Thokozani Khupe, Nelson Chamisa and Elias Mudzuri are now fighting to take over the party’s reigns.
