President Emmerson Mnangagwa issued a three-month grace period soon after his inauguration last November for the return of all looted funds and assets. The grace period which allowed looters to return looted funds and assets with no questions asked started on November 28 and ends tomorrow.
Mnangagwa claimed that he had a list of the looters and it remains to be seen if he will prosecute or name and shame those that would have failed to return the loot. Addressing delegates during Zanu-PF conference held in December last year, Mnangagwa said he had knowledge of those who had externalised funds and warned that those who fail to heed his call will be arrested and prosecuted. Said Mnangagwa:
I didn’t say that without knowledge. I have a list of who took money out. So in March when the period expires, those who would not have heeded to my moratorium I will name them and shame them

The way I see it this Munangagwa is chewing more than he can bite.He is alienating the inner core Zanu PF cadres and thinks he can win elections..Everyone was kissing ass to the Grace Mugabe for political survival even him was saying pamberi na CDE Stop it .Now that he is in power he leaves out some senior members from his cabinet because they stayed with Mugabe to the end ….
