Zanu-PF MP Keith Guzah’s son Kevin Guzah and his girlfriend Kudzanai were seriously injured last week after they were mistaken for armed robbers and shot by the Chinese Security force in Belgravia. Kevin who was shot twice was discharged from Parirenyatwa Hospital on Wednesday after undergoing surgery to remove any bullet fragments. However, his girlfriend Kudzanai is reported to be critical and according to Kevin’s brother, Keith Guzah Jr, she may never walk again as the bullet damaged some nerves. Said Keith on his Facebook page,
Guys, I just got off the phone with my brother Kevin Jay-Swagg Guzah. He has finally been discharged from Parirenyatwa. He underwent surgery to remove any bullet residue that may have still been in his body. The doctors closed the wounds and he’s currently at home on painkillers. The great thing is he is recovering WELL!!! As for Kudzai, please continue to pray for her because according to doctors she may never walk again. The bullets hit some vital nerves!
From not only me but the entire Guzah family, I just want to thank everyone who has been supportive of this traumatic incident and those that sent my brother and Kudzai well-wishes. You guys have raised a level of awareness like none I’ve seen in a very long time. This situation was a shock on the whole country and I appreciate the media publications and individuals that took their time to call, text, comment and spread love whether it was face to face, via WhatsApp, Twitter, IG and here on FB!! I take my hat off to each and every one of you.
