Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai’s sons Vincent and Edwin, daughter-in-law Diana and brother Collins spoke to SABC News about the veteran opposition politician’s health. The family also addressed the issue of which party members had access to Tsvangirai, after leadership disputes within the MDC-T. The family said that only Elias Mudzuri had spoken to Tsvangirai in South Africa. This potentially exposes MDC-T vice president Nelson Chamisa and presidential spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka who have said that Tsvangirai appointed Chamisa to take over from Mudzuri as the acting president of the party until he returns. The MDC-T is currently suffering from a leadership crisis as Chamisa, Mudzuri and Thokozani Khupe all claim to be the ones in charge.
