“Do Not Boast When You Become A Minister”: Chiwenga Warns Zanu-PF Members

Vice President Retired General Constantino Chiwenga warned Zanu-PF senior members not to boast when they become ministers because they are subordinate to the party.

Speaking at a Zanu-PF Mashonaland East Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting yesterday Chiwenga said:

We should know that the party is supreme. Whatever the Government does it would have come from the party, the Government does not tell the party what to do. The party tells the Government what to do and that is why we have party manifestos so that we give direction to those who will be appointed to Government. The party is supreme so no one should boast that they are a minister because you only become a minister when the party is elected. So, if we all keep that in our minds we will all work towards strengthening the party. If we build our party then we can be able to develop the country.

  1. Why is he talking as if he owns. everyone thats talking shit. He is a soldier not a politician at all. military and politics does not mix. From being an general to be vice president that shows he is not qualified for the job. Chiwenga must go back to his military job. If you are appointed as Vice president thats a high post we dont expect to hear this from him. Vice president know what to say. Encourage not threatening your party members. Ok
