Emmerson Mnangagwa Pledges To Mend Relations With Botswana
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has pledged to mend relations between Zimbabwe and Botswana after meeting with his Botswana counterpart, President Ian Khama. Mnangagwa’s predecessor, former president Robert Mugabe, had a frosty relationship with Khama. The two never saw eye to eye and often criticised each other’s way of governing.
Said Mnangagwa,
It was imperative that Zimbabwe and Botswana get back on the right track before President Khama leaves office on the 31st of March.
FeedbackMnangagwa is on his first state visit to Botswana as President. Mnangagwa is expected to make an appearance before the Parliament of Botswana.
