Zhuwao Says Mnangagwa Was Given "Only Five Months To Go" By ...Zanu-PF Spirit Mediums
Former cabinet minister and nephew of former president Robert Mugabe, Patrick Zhuwao has publicly revealed that the ruling Zanu-PF party, keeps traditional leaders and other occultists at its party headquarters. Zhuwao went on to further allege that some of these traditional leaders have been told by their spirit mediums that President Emmerson Mnangagwa only has five months in office. Writing in his weekly column, Zhuwao said:
Furthermore, it is important to note that liberation movements such as UNIP of Zambia, MCP of Malawi and KANU of Kenya have not been able to survive the departure of their founding fathers. In the case of ZANU PF, the violent and humiliating ouster of President Mugabe makes it even worse as explained to one Vera, whose job description at ZANU PF Headquarters includes consulting spirit mediums and the occult. The poor lady is currently grappling with how she can inform Mnangagwa that, on her latest visit to the spirit medium, he was given only five months to go.
Zhuwao is not the first member of the G40 Faction or of Zanu-PF to turn to spiritualism and the occult, in their attacks on President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the “Command Element” of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF). The G40 faction lost power when former President Robert Mugabe stepped down after a military intervention led by General Chiwenga ultimately resulted in the ascendancy of Mnangagwa.
Jonathan Moyo another member of the G40 Faction and a rabid critic of President Emmerson Mnangagwa also claimed that Mnangagwa’s government was doomed to fail because it had launched its military coup in the sacred month of November. Said Moyo,
In Zimbabwe November is sacred. Anything with spirituality done in the month is doomed. It’s the November curse. You ignore it only at your peril. A marriage in November fails, or worse happens. Smith’s 11 November UDI failed. So, the 15 November coup of Chiwenga & Ed is doomed!

Before he was ousted from power in November 2017, Mugabe himself had claimed that some of the prophets that Mnangagwa had consulted had warned him that there was a distinct possibility that he was going to die before Mugabe. Addressing Zanu-PF supporters at a Solidarity March held at the Zanu-PF headquarters after Mnangagwa had fled into exile, Mugabe claimed that his former deputy had consulted prophets to establish when the president was going to die because he was eager to take over from him. Mugabe claimed that Mnangagwa was eyeing his post and could not wait to takeover upon his death or retirement.
Mugabe also accused Joice Mujuru another one of his deputies, of hiring traditional healers and Nigerian witchdoctors to kill him so that she could become president.
