Trump Promised Us US$15 Billion When We Win The Elections: Nelson Chamisa

MDC-T Vice President Nelson Chamisa has claimed that United States president Donald J Trump has promised the opposition party US$15 billion in the event that it wins the 2018 elections. The money, according to Chamisa is for reconstruction. Chamisa made the claim to his party’s supporters at a rally in Mutare on Sunday. The promise was allegedly made, when Chamisa, Tendai Biti and Dewa Mavhinga travelled to the United States.  Biti, Mavhinga and writer Peter Godwin also testified before the United States Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee. Chamisa told the party’s supporters:

When we met with President Trump in America alongside Biti, he asked us how much we needed to move the country forward and we told him that we needed $15 billion.

He assured us that the money will be disbursed soon after winning the elections. He told us that he had faith in us because we don’t behave like Zanu PF crooks.

Chamisa also asked former Vice President Joice Mujuru to reconsider her decision to not join the opposition coalition and invited her to join the MDC Alliance. Said Chamisa:

Vana mai Mujuru please come with your parties and join rwizi rukuru Save (Morgan Tsvangirai). We have done a pact with all these parties but we are moving forward to form a grand coalition
