Audio: There Is Nothing Special About Davos Says Tendai Biti

Former minister of finance and leader of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Tendai Biti has dismissed President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s appearance at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland last week as a non-event. Biti described the WEF as a private club and said that Mnangagwa was not going to attract any investment as he had come into power through a military coup. He also claimed that former President Robert Mugabe and former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai once shared the stage. In an interview with Voice of America, Biti said:
