Chiwenga Now Acting President As Mnangagwa Heads To Ethiopia

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is headed to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he is expected to attend the 30th African Union of Head of State and Government which will run from the 28th to 29th January 2018.

In his absence Vice President Retired General Constantino Chiwenga will be the Acting President. In a statement Acting Secretary for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Dr Gurira said:

After successful engagements with other world and business leaders at the Davos World Economic Forum, His Excellency President E.D. Mnangagwa is due to depart Switzerland this afternoon heading to Addis Ababa Ethiopia where he will attend the 30th African Union Summit of Head of State and Government.

Honourable Vice President (Retired) General Constantino Guveya Chiwenga is the Acting President until the return of His Excellency the president on 30th January, 2018.
