On Tuesday night the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) confirmed that they arrested ZBC presenter Oscar Pambuka and Zanu-PF MP Psychology Maziwisa.
ZACC spokesperson Phyllis Chikundura told NewZimbabwe.com that the pair was arrested for their involvement in scam that prejudiced ZESA of tens of thousands of dollars for public relations work through their company Fruitful Communications. Said Chikundura:
It is true they were arrested today (Tuesday) and they are being held at Avondale Police Station. They are expected to appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday). Charges against the two are related to their dealings with ZESA.
Former Energy Minister Samuel Undenge was arrested over the same deal and is currently out on bail. Undenge authorised the Fruitful Communications deal.
