MDC-T Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora has said that first lady Auxilia Mnangagwa must disclose where she is getting money to make donations.
In a tweet, Mwonzora said:
Interesting that First Lady is making donations. Shouldn't we know where she is getting the money from? Transforming people's lives is more than buying a few tomatoes by the roadside. @Wamagaisa @matigary @advocatemahere @GordenMoyo

Since the beginning of 2018 alone, first lady Auxilia Mnangagwa visited babies born on New Year at Parirenyatwa Hospital and Harare Hospital where she made donations. She has also visited Hurungwe Children’s Home where she donated foodstuffs and non-food items to the home.
This follows an announcement by Mnangagwa’s spokesperson George Charamba in December 2017, that the first lady pledged to donate Christmas food hampers to more than 4 000 underprivileged children at various private and public foster homes throughout the country.
At one time, former first lady Grace Mugabe donated food and clothing items that had been confiscated by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) at a Zanu PF rally held in Buhera
I doubt if the source of her money is a problem the good thing is she is playing a role of the first lady and we should be grateful for that ,I am happy she has a heart and is concerned about our well being
Really poppy cy?
transparency iis a good omen. most us are wondering. yes she has to.
Pop cy it is very important to know where the money is coming from. It it from Treasury then it is tax payers money. So it is stage managed for their own benefit. Giving trinkets at Christmas is just one day. These people like to act good but really they are not. The Lions share like the diamonds is in their personal bank accounts.
Valid point. Transparency is essential as we don’t want another situation of so called first ladies go on shopping sprees while elderly people and children sleep with empty stomachs. The irony is that these woman appearing to be doing charitable works have no income so obviously funds sources are questionable. How much do their husbands legally have a right to earn from national coffers?
Auxilia is very quite while zimba wean women’ are being traumatized ne masoja basa kuno tsira muroad asingataure zveva vedu rariku rapwa
