Supa Mandiwanzira Responds To Corruption Allegations

Information Technology Minister Supa Mandiwanzira has responded to allegations that he is being investigated for corruption by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) for allegedly handpicking a Chinese firm to investigate Huawei. The allegations were leveled by former NetOne Ceo Reward Kangai.

Speaking on micro-blogging website, Twitter, Mandiwanzira said that the allegations by Kangai are false and are already subject of defamation litigation at the High Court. When asked if he will resign, Mandiwanzira said “only the guilty throw in the towel”.

The ICT Minister also claimed that the allegations by Kangai cannot be the basis of an arrest. Below are tweets by Supa Mandiwanzira:

  1. Everyn politician claims they are innocent and accuse the opposition or their haters. Let the law take it;s course coz this is the whole purpose of Operation Restore Order. If all are innocent then who stole the money or looted over the years? Chimbo could’ve said the same damn thing he would be at his home.
