Businessman James Makamba who returned home today after more than 10 years in self-imposed exile said that he heeded the call made by President Emmerson Mnangagwa for Zimbabweans in the diaspora to come back home and rebuild the country.

  1. Was he not accused of money laundering and is he bringing or disclosing his externalized funds? And what role will he play that he couldn’t do but enrich himself by building mansions and stealing money? Just curious to know coz he was on the run for a reason.

    1. He was charged with dealing in foreign currency with no dealer’s license. Sad to say, but the Zimbabwe situation over the past 20 years had forced most people to deal in foreign currency with no license (maybe not to such a high degree as Dr. Chakamba) – it was called survival then! I don’t know Dr. Chakamba, but I say come welcome home, bring your business skills, expertise and money and help create much needed jobs!

  2. good justification for thieving, zbc did he trade it if he comes back courts will be the judge of that rubbish where did he steal the doctorate given to him by grace
