First Lady pays surprise visit at Harare Central Hospital
First Lady Auxilia Mnangagwa paid a surprise visit to Harare Central Hospital. She praised the staff whom she said were doing a great job despite the economic conditions.
Mnangagwa said that she hoped the problems that the hospital is facing will be addressed in today’s National Budget presentation by Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa. Said Mnangagwa:
You are doing great work caring for our patients despite the shortage of resources. I am sure you are aware of the prevailing economic situation in the country. I hope that some of the critical problems facing the institution will be addressed in the forthcoming National Budget when resources are allocated. The purpose of my visit is to have an appreciation of the hospital’s operations. I am happy. I was impressed by the cordial patient-staff relationship and cleanliness in the hospital.
FeedbackShe was told that the hospital only has two old ambulances which are down. They also do not have buses to ferry their staff as they used to do.
