Orchestra Dendera Kings leader Sulumani Chimbetu was granted permission to pay half maintenance fees for the upkeep of his two children with former wife Marygold Mutemasango.
Sulumani will now be paying $400 instead of the $800 he had been struggling to pay. Through his lawyer Mr Arshiel Mugiya of Mugiya and Macharaga Law Chambers, Chimbetu applied for the reduction of the maintenance fees citing economic hardships and changed circumstances. However, his ex-wife Mutemasango argued that Sulu had the capacity to pay the maintenance fees. After hearing submissions from both parties, magistrate Mr Lazini Ncube agreed with Chimbetu and reduced the amount to $400.
