Video: We Never Took The Military's Warnings Seriously Says Mzembi
In an interview with the BBC, former Finance Minister Walter Mzembi admitted that he and his fellow G40 Faction ministers did not take the military’s warnings seriously when the military warned that it would step in, if it was not satisfied with what was happening in politics. Mzembi was referring to the military takeover undertaken by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces which ultimately resulted in the resignation of former President Robert Mugabe, after 37 years as head of state. Mzembi also narrated what happened to him on the night when the military launched Operation Restore Legacy.
