Transitional Govt causes divisions in MDC Alliance

One of the MDC Alliance principals who spoke to NewsDay said that there are divisions in the coalition concerning joining Zanu-PF for a transitional government.

The principal who spoke to NewsDay said that they are against joining a transitional government. Said the principle:

It will be a mistake to sanitise Zanu PF at the moment. The Alliance is definitely affected by what is happening. There are some in the Alliance who want to be part of this proposed transitional government, while others do not want and this is dividing the coalition. If they go ahead, that is the end of it.

However, MDC Alliance spokesperson Welshman Ncube said principals had made a collective decision to support the transitional arrangement. Said Ncube:

I am not sure where you are getting that sort of nonsense from. There are absolutely no divisions of any descriptions in the MDC Alliance. We had a meeting with all the principals last week on Friday and this issue was debated extensively. In fact, three-quarters of the time at that meeting involved debating that issue on what is the way forward given the circumstances.

  1. There we go again, this is not the time be divided. Right now we need everyone working together as a system to revive our economy. Let me point this out, Zimbabweans dont care who gets us out of this economic crisis, all we want is to be out of it, but you the politicians are the ones who shortchange us. Right now we are talking of coming together to work on our economy and all some of you care about is isolating ZANU PF thinking that it will fail and we vote for you, let me say this in bold, IF YOU ISOLATE ZANU PF IT MENS YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE, IT MEANS YOU ARE ONLY POWER HUNGRY. We the people of the Republic of Zimbabwe want progress, do not try to take every opportunity to gain political mileage, nxaa

  2. Likhumbule kathesi ukuthi ngumbuso wama butho kodwa nje ezimba iDecipline So kangazi ? Kkkkkk it is a Gamble for them elections might not take place then no voice
