MSU postpones graduation ceremony to make way for Mnangagwa

Midlands State University (MSU) has postponed its graduation ceremony which was scheduled for Friday as it clashed with the swearing in ceremony of Emmerson Mnangagwa.

A notice posted on MSU’s website reads:

Midlands State University wishes to advise its valued stakeholders that due to circumstances beyond its control, the graduation ceremony, which was scheduled for November 24, 2017, has been postponed to a date to be advised. Please note: Graduands and guests who have already received invitation cards should maintain them for participation in the graduation ceremony.

This is the second time MSU has changed dates for its graduation ceremony and although the reasons for the latest postponement were not disclosed, sources told NewsDay that the university had no choice, but to give way to Mnangagwa’s swearing-in ceremony on Friday.
