Mnangagwa to be sworn in at National Sports Stadium

President designate Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in at National Sports Stadium instead of State House.

This comes after Mnangagwa was nominated by Zanu-PF on 19th November 2017 to fill the vacancy in the Office of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe in terms of Part 4 of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (Number 20) Paragraph (14) (4) (b) as read with paragraph (5) to succeed Robert Mugabe. Mnangagwa will be sworn in as the country’s second Executive President and will replace Robert Mugabe. Mugabe who had led the country since 1980, resigned on Tuesday.

According to Nick Mangwana, the Zanu-PF representative in the United Kingdom, Mnangagwa will announce his cabinet tomorrow after his inauguration.
