“Apply for form one places now using eMap to quickly get responses”: Minister advises parents

In an interview with The Herald,  Primary and Secondary Education Deputy Minister, Professor Paul Mavima advised parents to apply for form one places now using the  online platform eMap before Grade 7 results are out to avoid congestion and to quickly get responses.

Said Professor Mavima:

We introduced the online application system for Form One places last year. Although parents and guardians encountered some minor challenges, the system saved its purpose well and this is the second year of using this system. We have since upgraded the system and it is now very efficient. Schools have opened applications and parents should start applying now. The advantage of applying earlier is that when the results finally come out and the applicants are within the range of what is expected of the school, they will quickly get responses.
