Zanu-PF MP for Harare East Terence Mukupe has criticised fellow party member, Cyber Security Minister Patrick Chinamasa, for his “regrettable and …not well thought out” statement. Chinamasa together with Home Affairs Minister Obert Mpofu claimed that the current changes in the political sphere were a Zanu-PF matter and that they did not need the opposition in parliament or otherwise to remove President Robert Mugabe. Chinamasa said:
We were correcting our own mess, we have the majority in Parliament, we can expel the President alone and we are the ruling party, so where does a coalition come in, we don’t need them.
The removal of Mugabe and his cabal was to enable us to go to elections as a strong force after some rogue elements had infiltrated the party.
Mpofu on the end hand said:
.. what people have to know is that we are the majority and it won’t be wise to have a coalition.
Commentating on Chinamasa statement, Mukupe said that revolution was for the whole country and not just for Zanu-PF. Writing on microblogging site, Twitter, Mukupe said:
Chinamasa’s statement is regrettable and was not well thought out, this revolution is bigger than any party! This for all Zimbos!

So far it’s clear that we are facing a daunting task and as it stands president Mugabe is not resigning and the focus is on impeachment and if zanupf lawmakers to successfully impeach him .or we just have to wait for the conference. What are the achievements made so far?

when we say ,we need a change its not only zanu pf but the whole country including the so called opposition.Remember Chinamasa you were the minister of finance when the economy went down to the present depth.

Chinamasa statement is misplaced, ZDF is not for zanu, but for the citizens this means the process was not initiated by them but ZDF with the objective of upholding the Constitution

had it not been the efforts of all the Zimbabweans regardless of their political affiliations that was demonstrated on Saturday, we won’t be where we are right now.Zanupf had resoundingly upheld the decision of dismissal of ED and the endorsement of their ‘amai’ as his replacement of ED inclusive of Chinamasa just some few days ago now that the whole nation has created this conducive situation he is talking of cheap failed party politics. This is a national crisis that calls for national solutions!!!
Chinamasa is greedy with this kind of mind we can not dispute the allegations that his son was caught at the border running away with 7million which was tax payer’s money due thinking about himself evertime nxaaaa.
Not sure how educated he is, to utter such statement. He must be voted out as well. We do not need such minds in the NEW ZIMBABWE.
He was never voted into parliament kubvakare, he has always been handpicked for the ministerial posts. The statements were not surprising because he was not aware of what was happening. Vajaira to being sent to read speeches prepared by others.
