In an interview with Reuters, MDC-T leader, Morgan Tsvangirai said he was puzzled by Mugabe not announcing his resignation. Zimbabweans were anticipating the 93-year old president was finally giving in to pressure for him to step down. He didn’t, and that left many shocked:
“I am baffled. It’s not just me, it’s the whole nation. He’s playing a game. He has let the whole nation down,”
