Zanu-PF press statement announcing Mugabe's removal, 20 G40 members expelled

A PRESS STATEMENT BY THE ZANU PF SECRETARY FOR INFORMATION AND PUBLICITY CDE AMBASSADOR S. K. MOYO ON THE OUTCOME OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE SPECIAL SESSION HELD AT THE PARTY HEADQUARTERS IN HARARE ON THE 11TH NOVEMBER 2017.

The ZANU PF Central Committee met in Special Session at the Party Headquarters in Harare on the 19 November 2017 in terms of Article 7 Section 37(7) of the Party’s Constitution. The meeting having been duly convened, noted the incapacitation of the top leadership of the Party to execute their duties as enjoined by the Party’s Constitution in particular, as enshrined under Article 7 Section 38 thereof, consequent upon which, Cde Obert Mpofu was unanimously elected to preside over the proceedings considering he was the most senior member of the Party present.

After considering the recommendation; from various Provinces, the following was resolved:

1.0 Having commenced with 201 (Two Hundred and One) of the 300 (Three Hundred) ZANU PF Central Committee members the Session was declared duly Constituted.

2.0 The Central Committee on behalf of ZANU PF, expressed profound gratitude to the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) for their intervention efforts in the internal affairs of the Party as the governing PARTY with the view of bringing normalcy both within the Party arid Government.

3.0 The Central Committee further noted the Solidarity Marches conducted on the 10″ November, 2017 and congratulated the Party members for their unflinching support of the intervention efforts by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces towards bringing normalcy in both the Party and Government.

4.0 The unconstitutional removal of Cde Emerson Dambudzo Mnangogwa as Vice President and Second Secretary of ZANU PF, and his expulsion from the Party was nullified forthwith and he was restored to being a member Central Committee member.

5.0 The recommendations from Provincial Coordinating Committees (PCC) suspending and expelling members from the Party were nullified and the Politburo directive that the PCCs recommendations for suspensions and expulsions be heard by the National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) were withdrawn.

6.0 All members of the Central Committee elected at the 2014 Congress and were subsequently suspended or expelled from the Party subsequent to Congress on the bash of fictitious fabricated allegations by the G40 cabal were reinstated.

7.0 Members from the Provincial Councils and subordinate organs of the Party who were suspended or expelled from the Party subsequent to the 2014 Congress were reinstated.

8.0 The following members of the G40 Cabal be expelled from the Party;

i) Cde Grace Mugabe.

ii) Cde Phelekezela Mphoko,

iii) Cde Ignatius Chombo,

iv) Cde Jonathan Moyo,

v) Cde Saviour Kasukuwere,

vi) Cde Patrick Zhuwao,

vii) Cde Letinna Undenge,

viii) Cde Kudzanai Chipanga,

ix) Cde Walter Muzernbi,

x) Cde Paul Chimedza,

xi) Cde Makhosini Hlongwane,

xii) Cde Mandiitawepi Chimene,

xiii) Cde Shadreck Mashayamombe,

xiv) Cde Innocent Hamandishe,

xv) Cde Anasthancia Ndlovu,

xvi) Cde Samuel Undenge,

xvii) Cde M. Malingo,

xviii) Cde S. Hazizi and,

9.0 Cde R.G Mugabe was removed from the position of President and First Secretary of ZANU PF by unanimous vote.

10.0 Cde R.G Mugabe should resign forthwith from the position of Head of State of Zimbabwe, and in the event that the resignation will not have been tendered by midday 20 November 2017, the ZANU PF Chief Whip was ordered to institute proceedings for the removal of the President in terms of Section 97 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No 20).

11.0 Cde Phelthezela Mphoko was removed from the position of Vice President and Second Secretary of ZANU PF for being divisive, a member of the cabal, protecting criminals, preaching hate speech and behaving in a manner inconsistent with the office and decorum of the office as Vice President.

12.0 Cde Grace Mugabe was removed from the position of Secretary for the Women’s League of ZANU PF for promoting hate speech, divisiveness, and 00271179 roles and powers not delegated to her office.

13.0 Cde E.D. Mnangagwa was elected as President and First Secretary of ZANU PF pending ratification by the Extra-Ordinary Congress scheduled for the 12th — 17th December 2017 and was nominated as the Party Presidential Candidate for the 2018 General Elections..

14.0 Cde E.D. Mnangagwa was nominated to fill in the vacancy of State President in terms of Part 4 Paragraph 14(5) of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No.20)

15.0 The Central Committee acknowledged the need to discharge its functions as the Supreme Organ of the Party outside Congress in terms of Section 35 under Article 7 of the Party Constitution and, the Politburo was directed
