"Exclusive: Live updates of ongoing Zanu-PF Central Committee Meeting in Harare"

We will be bringing you live updates from the Zanu PF Special Central Committee session which will into the issue of recalling President Robert Mugabe after all 10 Zanu-PF provinces passed resolutions to recall him.

• Started off with the National Anthem.
• Director for Administration Zanu-PF explains that the most senior party member will be chairing the Central Committee meeting due to the absence of the Secretary for Administration, Ignatius Chombo. Chombo is currently being detained by the military after he was arrested during the Zimbabwe Defence Forces’ takeover.
• The quorum requires 150+1 Central Committee members, currently, there are 201 members.
• Patrick Chinamasa to act as legal advisor.
• Togarepi Pupurai proposed for Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri to take the minutes.
• Obert Mpofu  is Chairing the Central Committee meeting
• Obert Mpofu salutes Zanu-PF Provinces for their position in recalling Robert Mugabe.
• Mpofu says the issue of transfer of power from Mugabe to the new president of the Party rests with the Central Committee.
• Members of the Central Committee salute the resolution by the Provinces by singing “Zimbabwe ndeye ropa.”
• Mpofu acknowledges the important role played by Mugabe. However, he says that Grace Mugabe and her associates took advantage of Mugabe’s frail condition to usurp power and rob the nation.
• Members of the press are asked to leave the house after the Chairman’s opening remarks.
• Provincial Chairperson asked to present in their own words resolutions from their Provinces
• Bulawayo Province noted none adherence and gross violation of the Party Constitution by the top leadership.
• Bulawayo resolved that Mugabe and Grace should be recalled
• Bulawayo also said that it supports the action taken by the ZDF
• Bulawayo resolved that  ED Mnangagwa should be reinstated to his previous position of the second secretary of Zanu-PF.

  -Recalling and Retiring RG with the Stateman status
  -Expulsion of the G40 cabal and the recalling of Grace and Mai Undenge

  – Robert Mugabe to step down and retire
  – Grace Mugabe to step down as Secretary  for Women’s League
  -Nullification of all expulsion and suspensions
  -VP EDM to be called back to resume his post as both the second Secretary  of the Party and State Vice President
• Manicaland Resolutions
  -Solidly behind and applauds the ZDF
  -Expulsion of the G40 cabal including Mandi Chimene, Grace Mugabe and Mai Undenge
  -Retirement of Robert Mugabe from post of State President and First Secretary of the Party
  -Nullification of all expulsions and suspensions unconditionally
  -Readmission of Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to the party and all his posts.

  – Expulsion of the G40 cabal including, Grace, Mphoko, Makhosini, Machaya, Anna, Mabuwa and Matangaidze

• Masvingo Province Resolutions
  -Recall of Robert Mugabe from both government and party

  – Expulsion of G40 cabal including Mphoko and Grace
  -Nullification of the expulsion of Emmerson Mnangagwa
• Youth League Youth Executive resolutions:
  – Supports ZDF
  – Expulsion of the top 6 National executive members including Anna
  -Investigation of Youth League members
  -Expulsion of Grace
  -Recalling and retirement of Robert Mugabe
  -Mandi, Grace and Undenge be prosecuted
  -Nullification of all expulsions and suspension in the youth league since 2015
  – Reinstatement of Emmerson Mnangagwa “nhasi chaiye”
• War vets resolved that
  – Emmerson Mnangagwa be made the interim 1st Sec of the Party
  – RGM be removed from both party and government
  – Grace, Mphoko, Moyo, Chombo, Kasukuwere be fired from politics of the Nation and be prosecuted for crimes committed
  – War vets endorse all the resolutions from provinces

  – Recalling and retirement of Robert Gabriel Mugabe from both post.
  -Nullification of ED expulsion
  -Nullification and reinstatement of ED and all who were fired by the G40 cabal.
• Women’s League National Executive has been asked to go outside to meet and come up with resolutions.
• Chinamasa giving an overall brief of the resolutions to allow for debate in the Central Committee.
•  Media has been called back and the Central Committee recommends Emmerson Mnangagwa for first secretary and President of ZANU PF.

• First Lady Grace Mugabe has also been expelled from Zanu PF and banned for life. The same applies to Jonathan Moyo, Saviour Kasukuwere, Ignatius Chombo and Patrick Zhuwao.
