<p>Dr Paul Chimedza, who was recently appointed as the Minister of State for Masvingo Province in the last cabinet reshuffle has been arrested. Chimedza was arrested as he tried to flee to South Africa at an army checkpoint near Bubi.</p>

<p>He joins the list of senior officials with links to the G40 Faction to have been arrested. Other senior officials who are in military custody are:</p>
