Botswana President Ian Khama who of late has been using social media to take sly pot shots at his Zimbabwean counterpart President Robert Mugabe has seemingly celebrated after Mugabe was removed from power by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. Khama who posts witty one-liners after events of significance take place in Zimbabwe posted on Facebook:

This post which refers to Mugabe’s long rule drew many comments from Khama’s followers with some celebrating Mugabe’s apparent demise. There is no love lost between the two. Khama has on occasion called for Mugabe to resign and let others rule the country. Mugabe has also been critical of Khama’s leadership.
History will repeat itself . In my personal opinion real coup mild coup partial coup is not the right thing to do even they want to cover it in any way . Ballot box is the way to go . By imposing a transitional gvt it means there is no freedom . We deserve the right to chose our leader after learning from our mistakes from independence.
I suggest that we have a coup in Zimbabwe every five years– let’s amend our constitution .Coups unite Zimbabweans than these divisive elections
