"Govt not compelled to respond to Mnangagwa": Zanu-PF speaks on ex-VP's statement

Minister of Information Simon Khaya Moyo said that Government is not compelled to respond to former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s statement since it was neither addressed to Government or Zanu-PF.

Simon Khaya Moyo also said that Zanu-PF is not a press club. Said Khaya Moyo:

The press statement is not addressed to the leadership of Zanu-PF and besides, Zanu-PF is not a press club. Therefore, we have just taken note of the statement but we don’t have to respond to it. 

Khaya Moyo also refuted reports that various arms of state are studying Mnangagwa’s statement and that Governent will announce appropriate action. Said Khaya Moyo:

All I said was as Zanu-PF we have taken note of the statement, but we don’t have to respond to it,
